The following has been on the notice board at the Moseley Exchange co-working space for the last few weeks: I’m happy to say there are 12 names filling all 12 slots so it looks like it’s going to happen, probably on Tuesday, February 23rd though that’ll be confirmed soon. One for your diaries – I’m giving a talk at the Midlands Arts Centre, or MAC, on Thursday 27th May as part of a public debate chaired by the mighty mighty Jon Hickman. Things are still pretty busy at ASH-10 Towers and I’ve been saying no to a lot of stuff lately, which is a nice position to be in but does mean I’m not saying yes to the interesting things. One thing that slipped through the net is Toby Barnes’ Post Digital event which he’s holding to [...] Tomorrow afternoon I’m speaking at the inaugural Black Country Social Media Cafe in Wolverhampton. It starts at 2.30pm at Alchemy Bar on North Street and I understand it’ll relocate each month to other cities and towns in the region. As you probably have gathered by now I’m off to Austin tomorrow for the South by Southwest Interactive festival, or SXSWi. I went last year and, without exaggeration, it pretty much changed my life, contextualising everything I’d been thinking about for the last 10 years and giving me the justification and confidence to turn it [...] |
