Creative Republic is a lobbying and networking organisation run by and for the creative industries in the West Midlands. They’re forming an events committee to develop their 2009 program of industry workshops, panel sessions and networking evenings amongst other things.
What I find interesting about this is the scope for running events is pretty wide. That’s not to say anything goes but if you got the ideas or desire to run or be involved with events that bring people from the arts, culture and related sectors together, especially those that are a little bit different and fulfill a need, this is a damn good platform to do it from not least because CR can provide access to venues and a reasonable amount of financial support.
