Last month I ran a couple of sessions on Community Blogging for Digital Birmingham. They were somewhat oversubscribed so I was asked to do another one which is taking place on the afternoon of August 1st at 3.30pm. It hasn’t been widely advertised as they’ve already got a decent number of people coming but there [...] After failing miserably to make to the Big City (far too much interesting stuff going on in Birmingham I’m afraid) I’m finally going to be in London tomorrow for a flying visit. The free Monday Social Media Surgeries I’ve been running in Rootys cafe in the Custard Factory these last two weeks have been going rather well. With the minimal of promotion (here and on Twitter) I’ve had six “patients” with a range of problems from understanding how Twitter works to advice on writing their blogs to [...] This is an idea that’s been buzzing around my head for a while now and Stef’s Inbox Victory post (where he got his email down from thousands of unreads to zero in one day) has prompted me to try and turn into a method for dealing with RSS feeds. Or at least start the process. [...] I’m going to try an experiment over the summer. On Monday afternoons, from around 4 – 6pm, I’ll be sitting in Rootys, the cafe in the Custard Factory, with my laptop.
